HydraSpecma's availability and commitment are valued as Merlinum develops tomorrow's electric forklifts

Today, sustainability is an important issue for all companies. Rethinking – and thinking smartly – are critical in finding the solutions that help make a difference. Merlinum Forklift realized early on that electric forklifts help companies to reach efficiency and sustainability targets. And when Merlinum’s development journey started, HydraSpecma was there to contribute with its hydraulics expertise.

Merlinum Forklift AB was founded in 2013 by the Andersson family. With extensive experience in the development of forklifts, they wanted to create a new company from scratch with a focus on developing modern, high-quality trucks. After careful consideration, they chose to go all in on electric forklifts – something they are happy about today. Back in 2013, fossil fuels powered nearly all forklifts, but over the years Merlinum has seen the pendulum swing increasingly towards electric.

– Companies are more environmentally conscious and are required to reduce emissions. In this case, switching to an electric forklift is a relatively easy choice. And once they've tried it, they see all the other benefits that electric power brings, says Martin Andersson, co-owner and founder of Merlinum Forklift AB.

The electric drive works well because the trucks are used in a limited area and can be driven until the battery is completely empty before they need to be recharged. This means maximum uptime and less need to plan charging stops. Merlinum's forklifts are energy-efficient and provide a good working environment for the driver: they are quieter and without the risk of harmful emissions.
