PREMIUM TRUCK WITH EFFICIENT HYDRAULIC SOLUTIONS
Merlinum's premium trucks are built to lift 6-10 tonnes. The trucks are adaptable to a customer's specific needs, with a strong focus on driver comfort. In addition to the advantages of an electric drive, the cab is spacious and features modern equipment.

The high quality of the trucks is the result of a lot of time spent on developing each part and maximizing user-friendliness. Right from the start, the company collaborated with HydraSpecma to develop efficient hydraulic solutions.
– HydraSpecma was there as a sounding board from the start. Their dedication and expertise in hydraulics have contributed to the quality of our products. We have good communication with them, and that, combined with their wide range of products, made it possible to find a solution that helps us maximize efficiency, Martin explains.
Merlinum buys ready-made hose kits and central lubrication from HydraSpecma. Since the end customers' needs vary, flexibility and proximity to support and components are important for a supplier. HydraSpecma has a site in Ljungby that can offer support and fast deliveries.

EXPLODING MARKET INCREASES IMPORTANCE OF AVAILABILITY
Two years ago, Merlinum moved into new premises with plenty of room to grow. For the company, however, it is important to grow at the right pace and to ensure that quality keeps up with the high demand. The goal for 2024 is to produce 40 trucks but to soon exceed 200 trucks per year.
As manufacturing accelerates, it becomes increasingly important to have components in place on time when they are needed. Merlinum itself has a warehouse of components on site, but the proximity to HydraSpecma offers extra security.
– Availability is an important competitive advantage for us. HydraSpecma also keeps stock and they have produced ready-made pallets with hose kits for us so that we will always have components at home. This is valuable for us. We appreciate the flexibility and the solution-oriented way of working, says Martin.
TRUCKS WITH HIGHER CAPACITY OPEN UP NEW MARKETS
Merlinum is currently in the final stages of developing a new truck with a capacity to lift 10-16 tonnes. Launching in 2024, the truck will open up a new target group – and great opportunities for further growth. The new truck with electric propulsion is very energy efficient. To achieve the desired efficiency, Merlinum has developed the battery that will be installed in the new truck.
– We have high ambitions, so we will never sit back and be satisfied. When the solutions we need are not available, we develop them ourselves. Of course, this is time consuming, but it allows our trucks to live up to – and hopefully exceed – customer expectations both today and tomorrow, Martin concludes.
